    I’m just unclear on how to interpret the ‘goals’ bit, if it was meant to be a sequence of emotions. Like you go from excited to frustrated/upset to satisfied?

    Childhood was a little unsettled. I think I believed that once I was done with education I would be free of adult interference and life would be groovy, but part of the problem was that having graduated college with a rather useless degree, I had no f…ing idea what I wanted to do/could do. I had bills to pay back and other complications. Everything became pear shaped and remained that way with all the assorted bumps life throws at everyone. Now I am 73. At least I got this far without being too much of a nuisance to anyone. Small goal, right?

      Small, but quite logical. Childhood can have such a strong impact on our lives. I think you did the best you could with the knowledge and experience you had.
