Let’s take a short break from the tough topics I’ve been posting about lately.
I need to move out of the comfort zone, so I’m going for another challenge.
As many of you already know, I’m not a native English speaker and I speak much worse than I write.
I’d like to improve that. Talking to myself is too easy, but talking to you seems quite challenging to me.
If not else, I hope I’ll make some of you laugh with my so called Italian with Russian accent (at least that’s what Robin said – I’m neither btw, I’m from Slovenia). 😀
This is a completely unedited version, because this blog needs some fun.
Like I’ve already said, you’re not your diagnosis. You’re still a human with your own identity (no matter if you struggle with this one too).
The same goes for me. I do struggle with CPTSD, but I’m still funny, annoying, creative, and much else of a human.
So, what do you think? Would you like to hear more posts from me or should I stick to writing?
If you find my challenge interesting, I encourage you to do it on your blog too. In your next post or more of them if you’ll find some fun in it.
My guinea pig Butternut loved this. He was purring while it was playing.
Very well done! Totally understandable. Hope to hear more!
Thank you Susan.
😀
This makes me happy that someone’s pet likes Maja’s voice haha
Adding to my earlier comment – Butternut is also an adorable name for a guinea pig lmao. That’s great.
It’s to match his brother Peanut. 🥜
Haha I love it.
That was great! Well done!! You really jumped in the deep end haha. You spoke very clearly. I’d like to hear more for sure 😄.
You did well. Nothing funny about it. I like hearing other accents that are different from my own. 🙂
Thanks Brandon.
Thanks Robin. 😀
👊
It was cool to hear your voice. I love to hear the voices of people I read.
Me too, this encouraged me into doing this in the first place. 🙂 Thanks Eliot.
Nice work, Maja. That is vulnerability in the moment. You did a great job, and your English is just fine. You have also given another personal connection of yourself to your followers. Nice to hear you. Have a great rest of your week. 🙂
Thanks Jeff. I wish you a great rest of the week too. 🙂
I listened to the audio version on soundcloud and I really liked it.
So in case you want to make more of them, it was nice to hear your voice. 🙂
Thanks. 🙂
Maja, your voice is absolutely adorable. And your English is just fine, as always. A clunky word here and there does not matter, my dear. You do better than you give yourself credit for. So yes – please do more audio blog! Someone’s little pig purred
You can’t beat that, eh? It must be the season of podcasts. 2 days ago I did my very own little “podcast” – quotes for mine because I ramble a lot and laugh randomly, so mine is very unprofessional haha. I want to do more. In my case it is pure laziness. I don’t want to type or sit at a laptop beyond 5 minutes. Heh. I never answered that e-mail but I hope you’ve been feeling better. Yes, give us more podcasts with that lovely voice.
😀 this comment with guinea pig really made my day.
I loved to hear you cursing 😀 audio puts blogging into another level. Please continue.
I don’t have enough time to read all the blogs I’d love to on a daily basis and audio really helps here.
Which plugin do you use for your audio recordings? I’m still researching different options.
That makes 2 of us – her comment about the guinea pig made my day too! :). I’m a potty mouth, yes! =) I don’t use any plugin 🙂 I use my cheap shitty MP3 player which has a recording feature. I transfer recording from mp3 player device and save to my desktop. Then I use whatever is built into WordPress for inserting audio. Which might be why my recording is full of pops and clicks. Every time I move the device around it makes popping sound. heh. Downsides. Thanks for your feedback on my “podcast”, I may continue this trend. I truly am sick of computer screens. I’m obsessive about WordPress right now but that may be changing very soon as I’m challenging myself to get away from the screen more. Doing audio recording and only being here for 5 minutes sounds pretty great! Plus I challenge myself to find peace with my voice over time.
Thanks.
It takes time to get used to your own voice. I’m not there yet either. It is a challenge indeed.
Thank you for sharing! 🙂
You’re welcome 🙂
I think you have a lovely voice. I look forward to hearing more.
Thanks LaDonna 🙂
