What’s the difference between borderline personality disorder and CPTSD

Both disorders share some similar signs, but they are not the same. There are some key differences.

Even the therapists often confuse them.
I’ve officially been tagged with both of them. But the more I know, the less I see myself in the BPD group. Neither of them is nice to live with, though.

Were the videos helpful? Would you prefer to read more from my personal point of view?

That image with all those things in it, that’s me. Guilt being one of the main ones and I’ve done nothing wrong. Yet I always feel guilt. Someone has done that to me and it saddens me.

Sorry to hear that Steve. I have similar problems with guilt too, and nothing really helps. It’s just there.
I hope you can see all of your fun and pleasant other parts too, and feel them at least occasionally. It’s weird when you can’t feel your own self and can’t be even sad.
      I wish you a nice weekend 🙂

Thank you, it was very interesting to know the difference. I can relate to the CPTSD. I would also be interested in your personal thoughts and feelings.

I would love the hear more. I was and have BPD but have always believed it is something more /different, maybe bipolar? I am new to leaning about CPTSD so maybe it could be that. Thank you for sharing!

I found this post very helpful, especially the first video. Thank you. Yeah a therapist recently told me its CPTSD for me. I think we already talked about that.
