Some people go to foreign countries to find themselves, some people start running, some people do other more or less crazy stuff, but for me psychotherapy works pretty good. I was very skeptical a few years ago, but now I’d recommend it to many people.
You get to learn things we could be taught at school or at home, but some of us just weren’t that lucky. For those who are not willing to change themselves (you know, the people who think they know everything), this probably isn’t the best option.
This was my second 3-month round. I was going really crazy after the first round. My expectations were far from reality. I expected results, something big, something different, but what I got was “just” some more knowledge.
This “just thing” is a very precious one, I know this now. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
The same applies to pretty much anything in life. When you don’t get what you want or expect, you get some more knowledge.
Let this post be a gentle reminder about things many of us, including myself, so easily forget. Some lessons are more, some less tough, but the reward is priceless.
I’m finally starting to understand my grandmother saying what would she give to have her 80 years old mind in the body of a 20 year old. 🙂
Plain and simple, the answer is knowledge.
What about you, dear reader, where do you turn to for some more knowledge about yourself and life in general?
