It won’t do you any harm, but it may confuse you a bit.
Mental health is still a sensitive topic to talk about, even though people became a bit more open through the years.
This field is still a mess and people are often confused. About themselves, about their illness, about other people’s illness,… And the green ribbon really doesn’t help here.
Because it already has some other meanings.
Other meanings of green ribbon: kidney disease, mitochondrial disease, cerebral palsy, mental health, Levellers and early Whig radicals, awareness of other political and cultural issues, support of farm families, HIV virus, awareness of other health and safety issues.
World Mental Health Day or not, I wish you all a nice day. 🙂
What about you, do you have any specific message you’d like to share on this particular day? 🙂
Thank you for sharing!
Wow, I had no idea, Maja. Appreciate your sharing. Be well.
I question the effectiveness of all these awareness days/weeks/months. The intention is good, but it all starts to blur together.
I agree. It should be a daily thing, not another once per year project.
Definitely.
hey friend pls also support my blog
Do you have anything specific in mind?
You’d think they could have imagined a better color for the ribbon; certainly not one that has already been taken. Still amazes me the stigma attached to mental wellness. My thought for today? Consideration Before Condemnation.
